AMERICAN AUTHOR STORMS THE NET TO PROMOTE BOOK

(Freising, Germany, March 21, 2004)— Living in Europe as an American writer has had its pitfalls, but thanks to the Internet and radio, Diary of a Mother: Parenting Stories and Other Stuff author Christine Louise Hohlbaum has managed to further her writing career without a hitch.

Diary of a Mother landed on the front cover of Moms Business Magazine for Jan/Feb 2004. In the same issue, Christine reveals her book marketing secrets which have gotten her to appear on high profile radio shows such as Cynthia Brian’s StarStyle (airing on WPMD 1700 AM on April 25th) and Susan Sierra’s ApPARENTly (Feb. 8th). She has also appeared on BookCrazy.net, WorldTalk Radio, WAHM Talk Radio, and GoodNewsBroadcast with Paul Sladkus whose show has had celebrity guests such as Ed McMahon, Marianne Williamson, and Marlo Thomas.

She is slated to appear on NPR-Affiliate The Parent’s Journal with Bobbi Conner later this spring.

Average Girl, The Magazine reviewed Diary of a Mother in their March 2004 issue. “Without reservation, Diary of a Mother is a superb book that will have you laughing and running to share your stories with other mothers and fathers,” writes Editor-in-Chief Rebekah Pierce.

From India to Canada, Christine’s message has landed on open ears. Parents are not alone in the struggles they have raising kids in the 21st Century. Readers from all over the world have responded to Diary of a Mother with rave reviews.

“There are quite a few incidents which touch your soul and teach you how important proper parenting is for your kids as well as yourself!” recounts Lata Bhudrani, who resides in India and founded the Web site Dot Com Women.

Best-selling Canadian author, Tracy Lyn Moland, claims that “all moms need to read Hohlbaum's book - it is so real and so relieving... it reminds us we are all in it together and the laughter you get out of it is such a great source of stress relief!”

Her first book, Diary of a Mother: Parenting Stories and Other Stuff, is about an Ivy League educated career woman turned child-dedicated housewife.

Christine Louise Hohlbaum went from career woman to “supermom” rapidly. She holds a combined M.A. in International Relations, German and English Literature and, until the birth of her first child in 1999, she was actively involved in modern dance. She has since become an expert on food and sleep negotiation for toddlers and preschoolers. She also teaches other authors about book promotion in her on-line course, “How to Market Your Book”. Hohlbaum, a Virginia native, currently lives with her husband, Andreas, and two children, Sophia and Jackson, near Munich, Germany.
